How I Can Help

Family Law:

Divorce, either contested or uncontested, is an emotional process combined with lifestyle and business related issues that must be confronted and resolved.  Whether your issue is obtaining an uncontested, no-fault divorce, or complex property division, alimony, child custody or other complicated legal issues, my breadth of experience can offer support.  If you are contemplating a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement, I can assist you.

Mediation and Collaborative Law

Mediation  is a method of resolving disputes involving a neutral third party (the mediator) who tries to help the disputing party to find mutually agreeable solutions.  This form of alternate dispute resolution is ideal for parties who can communicate and wish to fashion their own remedy prior to resorting to judicial intervention.

Collaborative law  is team approach to conflict resolution.  The focus on working together to achieve an agreeable result.  The collaborative team might include attorneys, a coach/ facilitator, and, if needed, a financial specialist.  Each client is represented by his/her own attorney who advises on the state of the law.  The Collaborative Law Process may be used in other family law disputes not just the divorce context.

Business Law & Small Business Acquisition

Every business owner benefits from the general counsel services of an attorney who is knowledgeable in small business law and experienced with the type of business you operate.  I can help you navigate contract disputes, employee negotiations, and other legal liability and risk management issues.  I am especially well versed in the needs of purchasing or selling a small businesses including restaurants, sub sandwich, and pizza shops.

Real Estate

Whether you are buying or selling a home or a commercial property, an attorney who understands real estate issues is critical.  In light of the constant changes in the real estate market and the lending rules, make sure you are protected.  Beware:  Offers to Purchase can be binding!

Wills, Trusts & Estates

Everyone needs an estate plan.  If your estate plan is more than 5 years old, it probably needs to be updated!
